I will make games.... when I want to, and when I can be bothered to... so that means I won't be making games often....
Feel free to make monetised videos on my games
My Games:
The games are in order of which they were made, Banana Crazy was the first game I ever made (so its not that good) but feel free to criticise it and tell me how bad it is. The 2 worst games I have made would be: Toast Troubles and En Routé which were both made for a 1 hour game jam (which explains why they are so bad.) The 2 best game I think I have currently made would be: NIGHTMARE SIMULATOR.exe which is a definitely not scary horror game, and: SHADED is a short but weird platformer. The game I am currently working on is: Magnetic Heights which is a short low-poly spy game. So far its over 60% complete and will definitively be the best game I have ever made which shall hopefully come out this September. So far I haven't made any games that cost money to play they are all free to play BUT you can donate money if you like/enjoy the game which would be very much appreciated... (I don't think any of my games are worth any money though tbh.)
Game Development:
I use the Blender Game Engine to create my games which I know isn't a proper game engine but I use it because I know how to use it and because no coding is necessary. All of my games are created in the low-poly style mainly because I am better at making low-poly assets and because in my opinion it looks better. I don't create games often because I prefer to make YouTube videos instead and school decides to take up a lot of my time so when I do make games I make them when I really want to (which hopefully makes them better.) Fore example the game I am currently working on (Magnetic Heights) will have a gameplay time of 10 - 15 minutes even though I first had the idea for Magnetic Heights in 2014... yeah a while ago I know. But the game should be coming out this September... I hope.
Me (Nathan Richardson):
I am a British teenager who for some reason sometimes enjoys creating indie games even though I dislike AAA games and bought a PS4 several years ago and haven't turned it on for 2 years... but I enjoy indie games so that should hopefully be good. I spend a lot of my spare time creating or watching YouTube videos (sub to my YouTube channel plz if you enjoy stupid stuff: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpcW1QbLyA2QppQ9VWZdCfQ) Most of my time is wasted at school and occasional a little bit of homework so I only have time to make video games when I am not at school, not making or watching YouTube videos, not being lazy and not when I don't want to make indie games. If anyone wants to contact me or talk about my games then feel free to DM me on twitter: @mrmangomonster or say something in the discussion part of my games.
FAQ:
"Whats your favourite game??" - My favourite indie game would have to be Gravity Bone and the best AAA game would have to be Far Cry 3.
"What game engine do you use??" - I use Blender Game Engine.
"How would you recomend I get into game development??" - Learn to use Unity as it is the best game engine for indie developers.
Hardware:
I have a pretty simple setup with a laptop I bought at Christmas in 2015 hooked up to a rather big television which helps a large amount with game development and video editing. Specs: Intel i5 processor, 8gb of RAM and a 2tb hard-drive.
